Divided we fail I just got an email from an old friend I haven't seen in decades. He's already come at me with attacks on Obama and Nancy Pelosi. This email had pics of several t-shirts, bashing Obama, and Pelosi. That's annoying enough, but he added 'if these offend you, you can dish it out all day long but you can't take it'. Here's my reply. " I can dish it out but can't take it? C'mon, do I go to your page or email you with attacks? NO. I do have some people that I just do not talk politics with. Sometimes that makes me a little sad. I already have to deal with a brainwashed brother who swallows every right wing conspiracy to add to his innate racism. I know, from years of listening to him tell 'nigger' jokes that he hated Obama from the first day he saw him. My mother is staying with him and he's got her on a steady dose of DumFux Noose and his angry growlings, so that she's freaked out that a bunch of black, Fema/ commie

The GOP keep putting all their eggs into the Keystone Pipeline. Maybe they'll get their heads stuck in there too. It's a BS issue that most people don't understand. I wish people would wake up to the fact that they're being manipulated from a GOP attitude that the voters are too stupid to see the lie. The facts are- -it has NOTHING to do with gas prices -is NOT OUR OIL, but is a toxic sludge that will be refined here for the Canadian company that will then sell the oil products on the world market, while WE get to keep all the polluted air and toxic waste left over. -Will NOT created masses of jobs, but a few hundred that are temporary -Has NOTHING to do with the vaunted 'energy security' fairy tale. The current nonsense about 'illegals' gets me really angry. Especially when being prompted by people who should be a little more circumspect before getting in front of a camera or microphone. But I know they are just in it for themselves, with no thought of their effect on people's lives. I have a fuzzy memory of some BS in Upstate New York, a couple years ago, where a mayor of a small town got a little fascist about 'immigrants', and a lot of small businesses closed because they were run by Mexicans that were now being constantly harassed, including a woman who ran a restaurant and had lived there for something like 30 years. If you look at history, even recently, you can see the potential evil from this. Politicians looking for ways to boost their own wealth or power, get people to turn on each other; Christians and Muslims, Hutu and Tutsi, Serbs and Croats attacking Bahai, etc. I met a man years ago, who had lived in Ethiopia. Criticizing the President- a portrait in hypocrisy During the reign of the Booshie's, criticism of George was not tolerated, especially by fright wing press. A lot of mainstream media were so cowed by this, they seemed to refrain from having guests on their news programs from the Democratic Party. When Nancy Pelosi was Speaker of the House, a first in our history, it was tabulated that the FORMER, disgraced, and FIRED speaker Newt Gingrich, appeared on news programs many times while Pelosi was not on shows as a guest even once.  Other examples of intolerance of criticism, especially after 9-11, which was used as an excuse to not criticize because criticism "aids the terrorists."              I watched CSPAN a lot during the health care 'debate'. I'd see Boehner and friends in mark up meetings,trying to knock the effort off track. I also remember when Pelosi was speaker, and they were working on an important energy bill. Boehner called for the 'reading of the bill", which forces the secretary to read the whole bill out loud, with all arcane references. It took over 8 HOURS. When it came time for the vote, he and his colleagues weren't there. He went on Fox and CNN to say Pelosi was going to keep them in session and force them to miss Christmas break, like a child whining about mommy making him do his homework. All the right wing punkits yammered about mean, evil, bitchy Nancy. Then when she said she WASN'T going to make people stay..."Go home, have a Merry Christmas, and see you next year", he immediately held a press conference in front of about 50 mics, with Mr Turtlehead next to him, whining that "Pelosi turned

The Goofie Opposition Party has their panties all up in a bunch because Obama made appointments that were needed, calling their bluff. They claim they are in session all the time, even when they're not.  They're not even pretending! They send someone in, they gavel 'in session', then gavel out and he goes off to get a reacharound. they stretch all the rules to the level of criminality and sprinkle that with a healthy dose of arrogance, based on the belief that the populace is too stupid to understand the arcane machinations of the House.
