Guns and False Equivalents I hate the argument 'if you ban guns, people will STILL find a way to kill". I've seen and heard arguments where peoples say that if you take away guns, people will kill using knives, or bats. I can kill you by sticking my thumbs in your carotid artery on your neck, putting a plastic bag over your head and face, or stabbing you through the ear with a chopstick, locking you in the garage with your car running ...there are plenty of creative examples in movies. BUT, you can't do any of that by just twitching your finger. That is why people hang so rabidly onto their guns...the faux sense of being god-like. You point at someone and they fall dead...wow! What a rush. Even my TV remote doesn't work that well.

The REAL Bush legacy.

Fright wing pundits and GOPTea partiers love to say 'stop picking on Bush...Obama's destroying America. But they are part of the big neo-conjob perpetrated by Bush and his handlers in the corporate world. Their whole MO was to dismantle government and turn it over to corporations. Security by Blackwater anyone? Notice how Haliburton slithered out from scrutiny by moving their HQ to another country as soon as the Dems got a few more seats? They took axes to Attorney's general,used a list from Rove and a flunky who just graduated from a low ranked 'christian' college to root out anyone who wouldn't kowtow to corporations. In other words, neutral. I STILL see unqualified people ranting about vaccines causing autism or other problems, usually spewing FALSE information. For those that KNOW the answer, how do you factor in exposure in our lifetimes to...? toxic crap in the air and water from power plants and factories; lead paint; lead in toys; ... DDT; bug sprays insect repellants like DEET on our skin and sprayed around us aluminum in the air from oxidized HVAC systems mercury in the air, water and fish arsenic formaldehyde in fabrics and furniture fire retardants in furniture and clothing various plastics, and plastic components in air, water, dissolved in coffee antibiotic over use antibiotics and hormones in water supply 'germ killing' cleaning materials opium (used to be in medicine to stop diarrhea) tobacco smoke sugar and preservatives in everything (saw added sugar in a can of pineapple!!) mold..... Show me your human 'control' that grew up
